Manheim Borough police were called to a report of a domestic-related assault involving a stabbing at a home in the 200 block of North Charlotte Street on Mar. 20 around 2:30 p.m., according to a release by the department.
Officers arrived to find a man stabbed five times in the face and head, the release explains.
The victim’s wife, Marica Pejcic, was arrested and when they interviewed her she told police she wanted to “kill her husband prior to the incident,” as stated in the release.
Pejcic used two knives during the assault, according to the release.
She has been charged with the following according to her court docket:
- F1 Criminal Attempt - Criminal Homicide
- F1 Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause Serious Bodily Harm or causes injury with extreme indifference
- F2 Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause or causes Bodily Injury with a deadly weapon
She’s been held in the Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $500,000 in bail and her preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Court Judge Scott E. Albert on Apr. 1 at 1:30 p.m., court records show.
